Cool We were all Noobs once

I think the message here is to understand that there are people who just discovered this great game and like you they enjoy playing but they still have a lot to learn. In fact until you beat the game with all professions (and combos), weapons and have ranking as one of the best you still have something to learn just as I do.

You can say noob to identify a new player. If you say it in a derogatory way you are the one who looses. You started making fun and that makes you an automatic looser (as in loosing an argument) because you start out negative. You have to put others down to lift yourself up and that is an instant looser (as in personality). It’s not difficult to give one sentence of advice to help someone enjoy the game as much as you do.

I agree. The term is here to stay its how you use it that counts.

If your new to gamming, there not going to know the difference between newbie and noob and the "noob" term is being thrown around if you ask any question, even vaild ones.

Most of the time I hear it blurted out the person shouting it is generally an arse anyway. We all were one point noobs so get over it. If its not going your way keep on trying dont start shouting obsenities at everyone else before leaving. I have dragged some pretty dodgy groups through some tough times in missions and made sure they all learnt something from it!
People make mistakes get over it and people have got to learn so help them. My good friend is actually a dev (not for anet though) and he thinks its retarded to do such things. Noobs are not the problem its elitest idiots who take things too seriously.
(I know my grammas bad not to mention my spelling so if it'll make you feel better lord it over me I am in awe of your spelling and gramatic supremacy)
ok lets pick a part a few things here:

1) Yes at times it does feel good to yell at people.
2) Yes, it achieves my satisfactiong of venting my anger before i throw my mouse and keyboard through my monitor, thus having to spend more money to replace all 3.
3) We were all "Newbs" meaning newbies at one point, much different meaning from n00b .
4) People do make mistakes, but when the said moron in question keeps repeating his/her actions and is being a complete moron when offered some constructive, non harsh critisim that MIGHT actually help them in the game or advance their playstyle, then they deserve everything they get.
5) People are only an ass when they are being made an ass of or have someone thats being an ass.
6) We could care less what game your friend is a dev for. his opinion is worth as much to any of us as the next guys is.
7) The elitist idiots as you refer too do take things too seriously, but depending on what they are doing, they want someone to take it serious also. gaming is a hobby, but many hobbies you have to take seriously. Scuba diving is a hobby also, if u dotn take that seriously you die.
8) Yes your grammer and sentance structure was a little horrid there, but youre forgiven.

ok after pickign this apart and people prob going "OMG WHAT AN ASSHOLE" i say this. There will always be people in this world that you cant help. the people we label as n00b's fit into that category. the person siting behind their keyboard thinking that they know everything and they are never wrong, are the people that we talk about in that sense. Yes its ok to be new to something and ask questions because you dont know any better. but when you purposely know better, and yet still act like a complete RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing moron, thats when you deserve to be spammed a n00b every other second.

A few people have taken this a little too personally, and very little useful information has been produced by this, in comparison to the former.
